“Kotodama” Spirit of Words Live Performance

Various Japanese traditional storytelling, the performers of it will gather in Kagurazaka.

Popular storytelling “Koudan” storytelling, “Rokyoku” that has been gaining attention again in recent years, and “Shinnai-bushi” of “Joruri” by the troupe of a living national treasure residing in Kagurazaka.

You can relax and enjoy the world of storytelling.

Dance, songs, and “Shamisen” music by Geishas uniquely existing in Kagurazaka which has a Geisha community.

From the music of Japanese harp played by the artist who is connected to Michio Miyagi who has lived in Kagurazaka until later years to “Hauta” music of Edo period.
You will be satisfied in the mellow atmosphere.

From “Gagaku” and “Bugaku” that the Heian nobles loved, Noh that has been inherited from the Middle Ages, to “Nihonbuyo” traditional Japanese dance that was born in the early modern period will be performed bravely with “Chikuzen biwa”.

The history of Japanese physical expression will be spelled out by a storyteller at Yarai Noh Theater, a stage that represents Kagurazaka.
